Let me capture the essence of your wedding or other special event as I paint on site to create an original oil painting to commemorate a moment in time.  Art brings unparalleled elegance, character, and charm to any event, especially a wedding.

I set up about 2 hours before the event to conceptualize and compose the painting, and I continue to paint as the event unfolds.  The painting is created in real time, as guests watch and interact.  By the end of the event, the painting is substantially complete but will usually require touch-up and finalization in the studio.

Although a growing trend, live event painting is certainly not an original idea.  Before the advent of popular photography, artists  recorded important life events in drawings and paintings. These works are treasured for their character and artistic merit, as they uniquely captured the essence of a moment in time.   This "old-fashioned" concept is gaining popularity and is often mentioned in bridal magazines, websites and TV programming.

I have established a Live Event Painting package which is explained under the "Pricing" tab.  My preferred size for a live event painting is 16"x20,"  although I will paint a somewhat larger canvas or several smaller ones if you prefer.  My intention when painting live is to capture the moment, and that is difficult to do on a large canvas given the time constraints of an event.  My goal is to produce a high quality fine art oil painting that captures the feeling and mood of the event and that you will be proud to own. 

I am happy to work with you to create a painting depicting your first dance as a married couple, the cake cutting, the reception and guests, or whatever other subject matter you want to remember in a unique way.  Outdoor ceremonies are a specialty.
